The company will randomly select up to 100,000 teachers and 100,000 healthcare employees to receive the prizes.

Winners will be notified beginning May 13th, and they’ll need to verify their employment through ID.me within 48 hours. If people miss their notification emails or don’t verify their employment in time, new winners will be selected to ensure the appreciation reaches those who deserve it.

This touching initiative is part of Chipotle’s annual recognition of Teacher’s Appreciation Week, which begins on May 4th, and National Nurses Week, which kicks off on May 6th. It’s a beautiful way to celebrate the people who shape young minds and care for the sick and vulnerable every single day.

The program has been gaining momentum year after year. A representative shared with PEOPLE that in 2025, the program received its highest participation to date — proof that the community is hungry (pun intended!) to show gratitude to these essential workers.

The gift cards can be used for any regular menu entrée item and are redeemable in stores, through the app, or on the website. Winners must be at least 18 years old and be U.S. residents.
