A dog who was left out in the biting snow found himself surrounded by love, accompanied by welcoming barks and canine kisses in his new foster home.

It was on a cold day in January 2023, in Ohio, when Ashley and her son found a vulnerable canine lying in the snow. “The dog was hurt and bleeding,” Ashley shared via TikTok. Choosing not to reveal her last name, Ashley shed light on the heartbreaking fact that the dog’s previous owner had abandoned him purposefully, right before a severe snowstorm.

Ashley, an experienced rescuer of dogs, couldn’t ignore him.

The dog, swiftly named Dollar, was soon taken to a vet after his rescue. Over time, he found comfort in Ashley’s home, sleeping on a cozy air mattress beside her. Affection enveloped the little fellow from all corners – in the form of countless kisses from Ashley’s dogs, Mia and Rocco.

This heartwarming encounter was captured on a TikTok video, which showed Mia and Rocco introducing themselves to Dollar with investigative sniffs that quickly turned into affectionate kisses. “I am truly blessed. I will never stop rescuing,” read the caption of the video uploaded to the account @must.love.dogs_.

Dollar, resting calmly on the floor, seemed to enjoy the love from his new furry friends. It was a moment that reminded him of the kindness that still exists in the world.

“My dogs are used to me bringing in dogs that need help,” Ashley admitted, “We’ve had as many as five or six in my home at a time.”

While Ashley’s pets showered Dollar with love, he soon found a permanent home due to a surge of adoption interest.

A friend of Ashley, who has consistently supported her rescue operations, expressed an interest to adopt Dollar. She traveled four hours from Michigan, and Dollar, now named Whiskey, has been prospering ever since.
