The Santa’s Workshop event lit up Monday with new toys, bikes, and electronics for Midtown Atlanta families, helping children play outside and excel in school.

Crystal Drakes, co-owner of Crescent City Kitchen, organized the event after previously helping these families during a lengthy government shutdown.

At Crescent City Kitchen, recipients received nourishing meals, cleaning supplies, and daily essentials to brighten their season.

“I’m gonna make sure that I can touch a life every single chance that I get, and I’ve done my job and that’s all that matters to me,” said Drakes.

As a single mom herself, Drakes understands the challenges many families face and is committed to spreading joy where it’s needed most.

“I understand there’s always someone that has it harder than me,” said Drakes. “So to be able to give back and see smiles on faces, it warms my heart and makes me just as happy as well.”
