Toni Enright, a farm owner from Virginia, decided to test the loyalty of her geese in a playful and unexpected way.

She pretended to faint in front of them, curious to see how they would react.

The video, shared on TikTok under the username @thedogmoms, quickly went viral, amassing over 5.7 million views and 731,000 likes.

As Enright fell, the geese immediately sprang into action.

One even tripped over a watermelon in its haste to reach her.

“Safe to say if anything actually happened to me Fluffy is definitely coming to my rescue no matter how many watermelon try to stop her,” Enright captioned the video.

Enright and her wife, Lydia, live on a 24-acre farm filled with various animals, including 30 dogs.

While dogs are well-known for their loyalty, this video raises an interesting question about birds.

Can they form similar bonds with their human companions?

According to the website Learn Bird Watching, birds can indeed form strong bonds with their humans, often built on trust, mutual respect, and consistent social interaction.

“Whether it’s through companionship, shared activities, or affectionate gestures, birds can bring joy and companionship into the lives of their human counterparts,” the website explains.

The bond between humans and birds can manifest in increased trust, affection, and communication.

Studies show that birds seek their human’s companionship and may even show signs of distress when separated.
