Golden Retriever’s Reaction To New Pup Sister Is Hilariously Relatable [Video]

  • It takes time for a solo child to adjust to a new sibling, just like how Copper the Golden Retriever showed his dismay at having a new puppy sister.
  • A video of Copper ignoring both his mom and his new sister has viewers in stitches.
  • In a follow-up video, both Copper and new sister Honey are now snuggling together.

There is a lot to be said about sibling rivalry. It can manifest in spats, attention-getting stunts, and squealing on lies, to name a few. And it is not exclusive to humans — animals show their jealousy, too!

Just take a look at Copper the Golden Retriever. He just met his new pup sister. He certainly did not welcome having a new sibling when he has been getting all his mom’s attention before. Now, he is sure that mom’s love would be divided. And he’s not having any of it!

So, when the new puppy sister came home with them in the car, Copper tried his best to ignore the pup and his mom. She is certainly not welcome!

The video, posted by his mom, TikTok user @autumnbungum, has got the TikTok world in stitches.

The comments are hilarious as viewers speculate on what Copper could be thinking. TikTok user @accidentalhaiku commented, ‘”All future conversations should go through my lawyer,”‘ or as @kevinmonzalvo wrote, ‘”Just drive.”‘

Copper could not show his unhappiness more clearly.

User @bwes26 wrote, “Copper said take her back,” and @chicken_mom1 commented, “He’s already packing his bags.”

But be assured that in the next video, Copper and Honey are seen snuggling together whenever they can!

It turns out that it was just a first-time meeting “animosity” or adjustment blues for the jealous Copper.  Deep inside, he knows that he is loved and there is more than enough to share.
