During this current global pandemic when doctors, nurses, and other healthcare workers, are working tirelessly on the front lines, the world has developed a whole new level of appreciation for them.

Many individuals and different organizations do their best to support, encourage, and keep the healthcare workers motivated. Even the Good Morning America, have been doing their part to uplift the spirits of the frontliners by surprising them with celebrity video calls through Zoom. A doctor from Long Island Jewish Medical Center in Queens, New York, was one of those who were so happy to be surprised!

Dr. Nathalie Douge has been working hard for the past few months battling the novel coronavirus in New York. It was an “emotional roller coaster” as she described her experience working with COVID-19 positive patients.

When GMA reporter T.J. Holmes did a remote interview with the doctor, the world learned how she goes the extra mile to take care of his patients in need no matter what.

“You know what’s so wonderful?” Richie said. “To see you this happy considering what you do. Listen, my job is just to make people laugh and cry. You save lives, doc, and it’s so special to see you lose it for a moment.”

What was more amazing was that Richie wanted to speak with her dad—who introduced her to Richie’s music—and they both shared this once in a lifetime experience.

That was absolutely sweet! Nathalie and the rest of the health care workers on the front lines deserve this kind of attention and reward for their unending hard work!
