Love finds a way: A lonely widowed goose gets a second chance at romance [Video]
WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW!
- A widowed goose named Blossom was left alone after her mate died.
- A cemetery manager noticed her loneliness and posted an ad on Facebook looking for a companion for her.
- A couple with a widower goose responded to the ad and set up a Valentine’s Day date for the geese, who now seem content to be together forever.
Blossom the goose was left heartbroken after her mate passed away. But thanks to the kindness of the general manager at Riverside Cemetery in Marshalltown, Iowa, she’s found love again. After noticing Blossom staring at her reflection in the shiny tombstones, the manager posted a lighthearted ad on Facebook looking for a “lovely widowed goose” to be her companion.
To her surprise, a couple with a widower goose responded to the ad, and soon the geese were on a Valentine’s Day date. They hit it off immediately and have been inseparable ever since.
As the manager observed, “They started walking off together and they haven’t really left each other’s side since.”
