Tricia, a former private detective, was smitten “at first sight” with Ian, who she affectionately calls her “toy boy.” Despite a rocky start where Ian initially ignored Tricia’s first message, the couple’s love blossomed, and they moved in together 14 months later.
When Ian was diagnosed with heart disease and needed a risky bypass operation, they decided to get married sooner rather than later, and their magical wedding was attended by over 100 guests.
Tricia highly recommends online dating for octogenarians, saying that it allows people to tick many boxes before meeting and can help them find someone they have a lot in common with.
