Jack Dawson, a young prodigy from Staffordshire, England, has been capturing hearts and inspiring communities with his passion for lifesaving. By the age of two, Jack was already showing signs of his future calling, riding along in ambulances owned by his grandfather’s first response company.

His mother, Danielle, recalls, “He was like a sponge. He just picked everything up so quickly.”

At three, Jack was mimicking CPR on his teddy bears, and by seven, he was leading workshops for their charity, Tamworth Have A Heart. This charity focuses on making defibrillators accessible and training the public to use them confidently.

Jack’s workshops, which teach both children and adults, often attract 20 to 40 participants. Sometimes, he even presents to audiences of up to 100 people.

His motto, “if I can save a life, then you can,” resonates with many.

Danielle shares, “He absolutely loves teaching. I’ve never seen him so confident before and the fact he’s helping people to save a life determines him even more.”

His workshops include detailed demonstrations on CPR and the use of defibrillators. Jack emphasizes the importance of checking airways for obstructions like vomit or blood before performing CPR.

“People are very surprised. He gets a lot of positive feedback and even special requests to teach people,” Danielle notes.

Jack’s efforts extend beyond in-person workshops. Under the moniker ‘Mini Medic,’ he has created a YouTube channel and a TikTok page. These platforms allow him to share medical tutorials and training sessions with a wider audience.

His dedication has earned him a spot as a finalist for the Children of Courage Birmingham Awards. Looking to the future, Danielle mentions that Jack is enthusiastic about attending university and becoming a paramedic.

“It’s all he thinks about!” she says.
