In a delightful twist of fate, a charming silver Maine Coon from Minnesota has claimed a spot in the record books for having the longest tail among living domestic cats.

With a tail measuring a remarkable 18.5 inches (46.99 cm), Mr. Pugsley Addams has outshone the previous record-holder, whose tail measured 16.07 inches.

Amanda Cameron, Mr. Pugsley’s owner, fondly remembers the first time his tail was noticed during a vet visit.

At the time, it was just an amusing observation until the tail became the center of attention at a subsequent appointment six months later.

Upon sharing this intriguing tidbit with her internet-savvy children, they did some research.

“And what do you know, to our shock, Pugsley beat it!”

Mr. Pugsley is not just about his record-breaking tail; he’s a curious cat with a knack for getting into things.

“He is very creative when it comes to new ways he can be mischievous. And yet, he is kind and caring and loves his momma.”

Living in a household of feline siblings, including sisters Winnie and Dutchess and brother Gomez, Mr. Pugsley fits right in with his adventurous spirit.

Gomez, named after the Addams Family patriarch, is described as “violently affectionate and romantic,” always eager for a cuddle.

The family believes Mr. Pugsley is quite aware of his extraordinary tail.

Its expressiveness and tendency to get in the way make it a constant source of amusement.

Now basking in local celebrity status, Mr. Pugsley is adored not only for his tail but also for his calm and endearing personality.
