A pair of pit bulls experienced a serendipitous moment that has captured the hearts of many online. This delightful encounter was shared by one of the dog’s owners on TikTok in June, under the username @hopeiretixl.

The video shows the two pit bulls, each in their respective cars with their owners, gazing at each other through the windows while stuck in traffic.

The female pit bull in the poster’s car can be heard panting and wagging her tail energetically, clearly thrilled by the sight of the other dog.

Meanwhile, the male pit bull in the opposite car is so smitten that he begins to bark at his newfound crush.

“POV: When you stuck in traffic and witness love at first sight,” reads a caption accompanying the viral clip.

If you’re curious whether dogs can truly fall in love with one another, the answer is a resounding yes!

Dog wellness experts explain that dogs’ brains release oxytocin, also known as the “love hormone,” when they have positive interactions with other dogs.

“Interestingly though, researchers found that the dogs’ oxytocin levels didn’t rise from initiating interactions—they rose when their fellow dogs reciprocated. In other words, your pup loves it when their friends love them back!” the website stated.

Signs that your pup may be in love with another dog include tail wagging when in their presence, playing together, enjoying playtime and cuddle time, and just hanging out together like people do.
