When a Good Samaritan gave food to a stray dog, he was surprised to see what happened next.

The heartwarming encounter was first shared on Douyin, a Chinese equivalent of TikTok.

The man shared that a stray dog approached him and seemed like she was begging for food.

He then gave her a drumstick.

“She takes it and quickly walks away but at some point, she turns back to look at me. I thought she is just trying to say thank you. Strangely the dog is not eating the food and she is going further,” he continued.

The man grew curious and decided to follow the stray dog, who kept looking back at him to see if he was still following.

He was led across the street and to an alley behind an abandoned storage.

The stray dog looked at the man again before dropping the drumstick on the floor. Four puppies then rushed out to greet her!

The man wrote, “I want to cry…the dog is giving the food to her babies.”

The stray dog, who turned out to be a mom, approached the man once again, along with her puppies, as if to thank him for the food.

The whole encounter melted hearts online. Several viewers felt for the mother’s selfless love for her puppies.
