Sydney Raley, a 15-year-old employee at a McDonald’s restaurant in Minnesota, recently saved a customer from choking using the Heimlich maneuver.

Raley had taken a Red Cross babysitter first aid class, which equipped her with the skills to act quickly and save a life.

She instructed her colleague to call 911 and then leapt out of the drive-thru window to help the choking customer.

With the aid of a bystander, Raley was able to dislodge the nugget and save the woman’s life. The teen’s heroic actions earned her a $100 reward from a fund for people who do good work in the community.
