  • Madeline Rector, a 19-year-old artist, has been keeping stacks and stacks of magazines gifted her by her grandpa.
  • So she decided to use them to create stunning masterpieces.
  • Madeline flips the pages to find the colors she needs, tears off small pieces, groups them by color, and combines them into beautiful mosaics.

Madeline Rector, 19, has been receiving National Geographic magazines from her grandpa ever since she was a little girl.

But instead of getting rid of her magazine stacks, she kept them all. They eventually inspired her to create stunning masterpieces, such as this one:

The talented Madeline has already been painting works of art, but the magazines inspired her to branch out into other art forms.

Madeline begins by flipping the pages to check which ones have the colors she needs. She then tears off small pieces, groups them by color, and goes to work.

She has since made several breathtaking art pieces.

Madeline truly has a gift — finding and combining the perfect colors from torn magazine paper certainly isn’t easy.

And the online community thinks so, too! Two of her videos on TikTok have since been viewed more than a million times.

She also has thousands of fans on other social media platforms, like Instagram.

One Instagram user wrote, “Stunning! Can’t imagine the time and effort that goes into these works.” Another exclaimed, “How on earth is this even possible?”

But the most important opinion, for Madeline, is her grandpa’s.

She showed her artwork to her grandpa on his 92nd birthday, and made a video on TikTok to celebrate the event.

She wrote, “Thank you, Pops! I do it because of you!”
