Cats have long been believed to be “liquid.” Their ability to fit in the strangest of places makes it seem like they don’t have bones at all. There are many photos showcasing this strange ability of theirs, but one photo looked so surreal that many people thought it was photoshopped.

The photo below was shared by Francesco De Filippo on Reddit. It shows a woman cradling Marvin the cat in her arms. But it looks like her hand is passing right through him!

The bizarre photo had the online world losing their minds.

One Reddit user exclaimed, “What the f-,” while another commented, “Please explain this, my brain is broken.”

Many people claimed it was photoshopped, but Francesco said the photo is “genuine.”

It turns out that everything can be explained by angles and Marvin’s extra fluffy and bendy body.

Francesco explained, “Basically, her hand passes under his right armpit, and due to his chonkiness and fur (a lot of fur), her wrist got covered up.”

Someone on Reddit decided to share a sketch to help people visualize the explanation more clearly:

There was no hole in the middle of Marvin’s body, after all — he just had a lot of fluff that made it seem like his armpit was connected to the rest of his body.

Francesco added, “He likes to be held on our arms. He is a cute, chonky boy. He loves to cuddle.”

While Marvin has no idea that he got this much buzz all over the world, Francesco knows that this “cute little boy” would definitely love all the attention.
