A friendly neighborhood cat triggered someone’s curiosity when he started visiting their home regularly.

Jaz shared that the cat had been coming over for the past few months, so she wanted to know who his owners were.

She decided to write a letter to his owners, then attached the note carefully to his collar.

The note read, “Hey mum, being a responsible son, I’m letting you know where I spend some of my days and who my friends are.”

She included her address and said that the cat visits every day, so they wanted to know his name.

Jaz shared how the cat has been spending time with her other cats. She added that his owners are welcome to stop by and say hi if they wish.

She then patiently waited for a response.

In the second video, Jaz wonders what might have happened. When the cat returned, the note was gone. She wasn’t sure if the note came off before he reached his home. She also wondered if his owners received the note but didn’t want to respond.

But when Jaz went to her mailbox to get a package, she realized there was a handwritten response waiting for her!

It was then that she started to know more about the mysterious cat.

The note apologizes for not being able to visit, explaining that the cat’s owners “are little hoomans and are always getting into mischief.”

“They would like you to know my name is Rex (as in T-rex),” the note read. “You can probably hear my mom calling me every night.”

The letter also stated their address.

Jaz shared a third video to show how a regular visit from Rex goes.

Through their interactions, we can see how close Rex has gotten with Jaz and her cats!

This time, however, Jaz was too busy to watch over Rex so she couldn’t invite him inside the house. Rex didn’t like that and started to pout with annoyance!

Rex clearly feels at home there, since he deems it safe to express his feelings.

Jaz and her family are moving out soon, so we don’t know if there will ever be a continuation of the saga. Decoding the mystery identity of the friendly neighborhood cat was fun to see, so we hope that Rex finds a new friend when the new neighbors come in.
