World-renowned Cristiano Ronaldo accidentally knocked out a match steward while warming up for Manchester United’s match against BSC Young Boys a few months ago.

The 36-year-old hit a strike just wide of the goal which shot into the steward. She fell to the ground after being hit on the head by the ball. The medical staff attended to her.

News reports did not confirm if the steward was knocked unconscious.

Cristiano immediately jumped the pitchside barrier to check if she was ok as she lay on the floor with medics. He apologized for his rogue shot. 

Thankfully, she didn’t sustain any injuries from the accident. The game went on as planned though the team lost to the young boys.

Still feeling bad about the accident, Cristiano gave his match shirt to the steward. She happily accepted his kind gesture and even showed her appreciation for it by showing it off.
