  • Abi Roberts, Bekah King, and Morgan Tabor formed an unbreakable bond after finding out that they all had the same cheating boyfriend.
  • After meeting up, they decided to go on an epic road trip — one that their cheating ex had all told them about.
  • The adventure has made them even closer, forming a lasting bond of friendship.

In this story that sounds like a Hollywood movie, three unsuspecting women — Abi Roberts, Bekah King, and Morgan Tabor — get together and form a once-in-a-lifetime friendship after they discover that they all had the same cheating boyfriend.

Around Christmas last year, 21-year-old Morgan from Boise, Idaho, suspected her boyfriend was compensating for something when he sent texts that felt too friendly and photos that were too flirtatious. After checking out his less-than stalwart social media accounts, she confirmed her worst suspicions.

She contacted one of the girls, who was also from Idaho, via Instagram. Morgan and Bekah soon started bonding over their mutual feelings of shock and disappointment.

Morgan then found out that their cheating boyfriend was also dating another girl!

Abi, an art student from Salt Lake City, told The Salt Lake City Tribune, “Around December, I got a text from two girls. One of them… basically said, ‘Hey, are you dating this person?’ And I said yes. And they’re like, ‘Well, we’re both dating him, too.’ So that was a huge shocker.”

So when the guy visited Morgan, armed with a bouquet of flowers, he got busted during a revelatory FaceTime chat between Morgan and Abi. He tried to talk his way out, but the girls were no longer buying it.

As if dating three women were not enough, Morgan and Abi found out that he was also seeing another half-dozen women, whom they also informed.

The newly formed trio dumped the guy and decided to meet up.

Abi told the Washington Post, “We did a lot of trauma processing and memory sharing, and it was obvious that we were all really cool, fun people who had a lot in common. Right away, we became good friends.”

After comparing their stories, they realized that their common ex all told them about his romantic dream of traveling the country in an old VW bus.

While the trio found the predictable dream hilarious, they decided to take hold of that dream and realize it.

So they enlisted the help of friends and family to transform an old school bus into a modern-day tiny house on wheels:

They finally got to hit the road this summer. Taking turns on the wheel, the trio visited Yellowstone, Glacier, and Grand Teton National Parks, and drove south along the West Coast.

They also worked remotely for several hours per week to finance their epic adventure.

“At face value, a lot of people think we’re just doing this [to spite our ex], but no. This is very authentically us following our dreams and taking opportunities,” Abi told SLT.

Abi told Washington Post, “We all feel really blessed that we found each other. We’re friends for life.”

The circumstances that brought them together could cause someone to grow bitter, but these three turned it around and chose “the high road.”
