Mariska Hargitay gave a nod to her friend Taylor Swift by naming her new Siamese cat Karma, after one of Swift’s hit songs.

The “Law & Order: SVU” star shared two adorable photos of her new feline friend on Instagram, tagging the “Shake It Off” singer in the post. Swift had previously named her own cat Olivia Benson, in honor of Hargitay’s iconic character on the hit show.

Ryan Buggle, who plays Benson’s son on “SVU,” commented on the post, saying, “Please bring this baby to work.”

Hargitay and Swift’s friendship began years ago at the Met Gala, where Swift expressed her love for “SVU.”

Hargitay recalled their meeting during a May 2015 appearance on “Late Night with Seth Meyers,” saying, “I met her at the Met Gala, and I was so uncool, and she’s standing there like, ‘Hi, I love your show!’ I didn’t know she was like the second coming … She was so sweet.”

The two became fast friends, with Swift even giving Hargitay and her husband a ride home from a concert. Later, Swift asked Hargitay to appear in her star-studded “Bad Blood” music video. Hargitay gushed about the experience, saying, “It’s just so awesome, and it makes me feel super badass.”
