Golden Retriever Hinckley and baby Theodore “Teddy” have become inseparable that their mom thinks they could be “best friends who have endless adventures together.”

At first, 37-year-old Whitney Parks from Boston was uneasy when they brought their baby home in October. They were thinking how Hinckley would react — suspecting he could be jealous and even get aggressive, as “he had been the center of our world for a year.”

That time, the family supposed that Hinckley looked at Teddy like he was his new toy. But soon enough, the pup got the whole idea and started caring for the baby.

Careful so the family dog would understand that he is not being replaced, the new parents made sure that Hinckley wouldn’t get left out and would be part of family activities, including Teddy’s nap time. And Hinckley felt exactly that.

“Hinckley joins every feeding. Generally, Teddy is on my left and Hinckley is on my right, it’s a special time for the three of us to bond and snuggle,” Whitney said.

Whitney said that Hinckley has become so fascinated with everything Teddy does and felt pretty secure with his place, even with the presence of his baby brother.

“My heart melts watching the two of them together, it’s clear that Hinckley is taking on the role of big brother looking out for the wellbeing of his younger sibling,” Whitney shared. “I honestly can’t get enough.”
