Dolly Parton, 79, has reached out to fans through a personal video message to ease concerns about her wellbeing. Speaking from a film studio, she assured everyone that there is “nothing major” wrong with her health.

“Well, today’s Oct. 8 and obviously I’m here doing some commercials for the Grand Ol’ Opry, which is kind of why I’m dressed like an old country and western girl,” she shared, dressed in black pants and a red fringed top.

“But before I got started, I wanted to say, I know lately everybody thinks that I am sicker than I am,” Dolly expressed. “Do I look sick to you? I’m working hard here!”

She continued by thanking fans for their concern and prayers, adding, “I’m a person of faith.”

While Dolly mentioned she had “some problems” and hadn’t always put her own health first—especially while caring for her late husband—she reiterated, “nothing major” was wrong.

Though she’s taking some time off for “a few treatments here and there” and to be near home, Dolly was clear: “I wanted you to know that I’m not dying.”

She addressed the rumors directly, saying, “But I figured if you heard it from me, you’d know that I was OK.”

“I’m not ready to die yet and I don’t think God is through with me and I ain’t done working. So I love you for caring and keep praying for me.”

This message follows her sister Frieda’s recent request for prayers, which was later clarified to reassure fans that Dolly had only been “a little under the weather.”
