Imagine stumbling upon a terrified, abandoned chicken in the forest. That’s exactly what happened to a woman named Zijltjen. She found the poor creature in a terrible state and couldn’t help but wonder, “Why would you dump an animal like this…”

At first, the chicken’s condition was so bad that her rescuers were worried she might not make it. Despite their concerns, they did everything they could to make her comfortable, hoping that with time, she would get better.

To aid in her recovery, Zijltjen provided the chicken with warm baths (which she absolutely loved), antibiotics, and painkillers. Slowly but surely, the chicken began to improve, and it was clear that she had been rescued just in time.

Zijltjen searched for the chicken’s original home by posting in lost pet groups, but unfortunately, no one came forward to claim her. However, there’s a silver lining: once the chicken is completely healed, she’ll find her forever home and never have to worry about being abandoned in the forest again.
