Giant walrus steals a stranger’s boat and chills out [Video]

  • A huge walrus named Wally has been exploring the European waters for the past months.
  • Recently, he lounged on a vessel offshore from day to night.
  • The owners let Wally rest and just chill out in the boat, with no hard feelings!

Wally is a huge walrus who’s into adventures.

Although he’s from Arctic, he loves exploring the European waters, and for the past several months, he’s having the time of his life doing just that.

Recently, Wally was spotted by employees from Clonakilty Distillery in Ireland. People thought that he had fallen asleep near Greenland earlier this year and got drifted south.

The employees were shocked as Wally clearly decided to take over one of their vessels anchored offshore so he could rest his fins. In a jiffy, Wally settled right in, feeling at home in the ‘stolen’ boat.

“It was definitely unexpected,” Adam Collins, spokesperson for Clonakilty Distillery, told The Dodo. “Wally’s been spotted in Irish waters before, but we never thought in a million years we’d see him here, especially in one of our team’s [boats].”

Adventure time must have exhausted the adorable walrus, but he managed to find the perfect place to take some rest — and made it all his.

“He seemed pretty relaxed, just chilling in the boat,” Adam said.

Though the boat reclined a bit due to his weight, he didn’t mind. Perhaps, only a full rest mattered at that moment. Lucky for him, the rightful owners were pretty understanding of his situation.

Thankfully, there was no damage caused to the boat,” Adam added. “We were quite happy just to leave him be and chill out!”

The hijacking walrus was still lazing aboard the boat until evening, and so the crew put off their use of the vessel that day, but there were no hard feelings.

It was an amazing experience just to see him,” Adam said.
