Cherrish Faith Rodgers suffered an asthma attack on May 17, 2026, that led to cardiac arrest. The mother of two young girls turned 21 on May 24, and two days later, staff delivered devastating news to her family.

Cherrish had no brain activity and would not recover. Cherrish’s mother, Cassandra Hall, made a heartbreaking but generous decision.

Before Cherrish passed, she donated several organs. Staff at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital in Virginia Beach, Virginia, gathered on May 31 for an honor walk.

Cherrish Rodgers Helped Save Multiple Lives

Doctors successfully prepared her heart, liver, pancreas, and both kidneys for donation. Five people received the gift of life thanks to Cherrish’s final act of generosity.

“We got the opportunity to grant someone else their dream come true,” Cassandra Hall shared.

“I can’t put into words how that makes me feel. But I am beyond grateful to God that we were able to save five lives.”

Staff and loved ones lined the hospital hall as Cherrish Rodgers was taken into surgery. It was a bittersweet moment for those who love her.

“She’s not dead — she still lives on,” Cassandra said.

“She’ll live on through the lives she saved and through her children.”

Loved ones also created a fundraiser to support Cherrish Rodgers’ 5-year-old and 1-year-old daughters. The young mother was a passionate content creator known for her vlogs and hair styling videos.

“Cherrish was a loving mother to her two daughters, Choyce (5) and Cyaira (1), and a passionate content creator known for her vlogs and hair content,” a post on the fundraiser reads.

“Above all, her children were her greatest love and purpose, and she worked hard to give them a better future.”

“We are deeply grateful for any support. Every donation will help honor Cherrish’s memory and provide care and stability for her two daughters,” the family added.

“If you are unable to donate, sharing this campaign would mean just as much.”

Organ donation is a selfless act, and Cherrish’s mother is right — her spirit will certainly live on. Through her daughters, through the five people she saved, and through the countless lives she touched, Cherrish’s legacy of love and generosity continues to shine brightly.
