Heroic Pit Bull Rescues Chihuahua Friend Who Fell In Pool [Video]

Pulma the chihuahua is very grateful to have all the friends and family he could ever need. And he knows that he can count on them on his time of need.

Pulma and his canine siblings were hanging out by ther family’s pool one day when he suddenly slipped and fell into the water.

He tried his best to paddle to safety, but his little paws can only do so much.

Just as he was struggling to stay afloat and in danger of drowning, a hero appeared and rescued him.

Athena the pit bull came to the rescue!

The pup’s owners, who were at home at the time, rushed to the pool as soon as they heard splashing.

Thankfully, the heroic Athena had already rescued Pulma. She managed to get to the safe side of the pool and lifted Pulma out of the water with her mouth.

Their owner, Janaina Leite, was initially worried that Athena’s grip could be too strong. But it was soon made clear that Pulma was nowhere in danger.

The little pup was shook, but he was unscathed.

Janaina shared, “It was a big scare. [But] thanks to her, and God, Pulma was unharmed. Athena is very affectionate and protective of her siblings. She is very special.”

Thanks to Athena’s heroic instinct, tragedy was averted.

Still, Janaina has decided to put precautions in place to avoid another accident. This was the first time that one of the pups fell in, but she doesn’t want it to happen again.

She stated, “We are looking into putting some protection around the pool. This certainly will not happen again. We love our fur babies.”

The canine siblings certainly have all the love and protection they deserve!
