Jealous Bird Competes For Mom’s Attention With His Cat Brother [Video]

• TikTok viewers were in on a bird showing his jealous side when it squeezed itself between his mom and his cat sibling.

When TikTok user @jenniferplenge shared a video of her bird, Tiki, and her cat, trying to see who gets her attention, the net can only say: proof that sibling rivalry is not only for humans. 

Animals do show jealousy and in ways close to humans.  In this case, while the cat was safely cuddled to mom, Tiki was inserting himself between his mom and the cat!  Just like babies who wiggle their way between their parents or siblings.

Tiki was simply not happy at the cat getting all of momma’s love.  He wants in on the action, too! Share the love, kisses and cuddles between me and the cat, mom!

And the viewers sympathize with the bird. @arabellablak commented, “He wants to cuddle. You’re making him feel left out!” and @ahsashs added, “If you don’t let him in the cuddle puddle now!”

The cat also got his share of sympathizers like @paulinegolden who said, “The poor cat, he’s like everyone stop talking I’m trying to go to sleep…” and @singerdudemichael seconded with, ‘The cat is like, “I’ve about had enough of this.”‘

For indeed, it was not the kitty’s fault that he was getting some love from mom.  Tiki just went in and demanded attention.

What would mom do to share the love?  We suggest one arm for Tiki and one arm for the cat.  That way the love is equally shared and no one feels left out. Good luck, mom!
