Quick Smiles:

  • KFC revives crispy Potato Wedges after five years
  • Hot & Spicy Wings also return by popular demand
  • Fans can enjoy both wedges and fries on the menu

KFC is bringing back its much-loved Potato Wedges after a five-year absence, making fans nationwide rejoice. The crispy favorite will be available once again from August 18, rejoining menus alongside the also-returning Hot & Spicy Wings.

Both items are back due to what KFC describes as “relentless fan demand,” ensuring supporters of these classic sides feel heard.

“Wedge-lovers, we heard you — and we agree it’s been five long years without wedges. But the wait is over,” said Catherine Tan-Gillespie, president of KFC U.S.

First introduced in the mid-1990s, the wedges gained a devoted following and became a menu staple until their 2020 retirement. Now, the “Kentucky Fried Comeback” campaign is bringing nostalgia and joy to customers.

Fans can order the returning wedges on their own, as a side swap, or as part of the new Wings & Wedges Combo—with six wings and a medium drink.

Customers don’t have to worry about losing their other potato favorites either—Secret Recipe Fries are staying on the menu, so now both wedges and fries will be available for all to enjoy.

Just in time for football season and back-to-school excitement, KFC is launching limited-time deals. These specials include a $3.99 KFC Chicken Sandwich, a $20 Wings & Wedges Fan Favorites Box, and a digital exclusive: 20 wings for $20 beginning September 4.

KFC’s beloved $10 Tuesdays tradition will continue, offering eight pieces of fried chicken or Original Recipe® Tenders for just $10 every Tuesday.

Wedges and Hot & Spicy Wings are available while supplies last—so fans can once again savor their favorites!
