Quick Smiles:

  • Tru Breed Motorcycle Club leads a massive Thanksgiving meal drive.
  • Local clubs join forces to support families facing tough times.
  • Donors help make thousands of holiday meals possible this year.

For 15 years, the Tru Breed Motorcycle Club has brought Thanksgiving spirit to Minneapolis’ northside, and this season they’re launching their largest community giveaway ever.

Kim Smith, a dedicated member of the Twin Cities motorcycle community, noted, “It’s really become all the motorcycle clubs coming together to do a lot of good for the community.”

What began with just 75 turkeys has grown each year. Last Thanksgiving, 400 families received meals, and the club now aims to help four times as many.

Fellow rider Mike Oker explained that the government shutdown has made life especially difficult for local families, increasing demand for help.

To support the effort, Tru Breed MC launched an online fundraiser so supporters could help meet the ambitious goal. The fundraising page shares, “Every donation will make a traditional meal possible for a hungry child, senior, and family in need.”

For these riders, the annual drive is about more than food—it’s about supporting neighbors and keeping the northside strong through generosity and kindness.

Stay tuned for more uplifting community stories, and remember—every act of kindness can make a big difference!
