Supermodel Gisele Bundchen Doesn’t Like Being Called A ‘Stepmom’ Because She Sees It As More Than That
- Supermodel Gisele Bundchen was answering questions on her IG stories when one of the fans asked how it feels like to be a stepmom to Tom Brady’s son.
- She answered that she didn’t like to be called stepmom but rather prefers to be called a “bonus mom.”
- And that she feels lucky to be blessed with “an extra wonderful little angel” in her life.
Gisele Bundchen is not just a pretty face but she also has a pretty heart.
The 39-year-old supermodel is also a stepmother to John “Jack” Moynahan, the 12-year-old son of her husband, Tom Brady. On Thursday, she was answering some questions from her fans on Instagram when a fan asked how it feels to be a stepmom.
“I don’t like the word ‘stepmom,’” she answered. “I like the word ‘bonus mom’ because I feel like it’s a blessing in my life. I feel so lucky that I got to have an extra wonderful little angel in my life.”
Tom, the quarterback player for the New England Patriots football team, had a previous relationship with model and actress Bridget Moynahan, whom he had his son Jack.
“I couldn’t imagine my life without (Jack). I call him my bonus child,” Gisele told People in 2018.
Gisele and Tom, who has since had two kids together, Benjamin, 10, and Vivian, 7, celebrated their 11th anniversary just recently.
The supermodel mom also addressed on her Instagram stories how she manages their time with the family amidst busy schedules.
“I don’t think there’s a secret recipe,” she said. “I think we just try our best to be present with the kids when we are with the kids and be fully there with them, really listening to them. I think it’s not so much the amount of time. I think it’s the quality of time.”
She explained that they work to maintain a respectful home and provide their kids with affection.
“I think what’s really important as well is the energy that is around the children,” she said. “We are constantly giving them kisses and hugs, and I think they really see how much we love each other and how much we support each other.”
