The Oregon Potato Company LLC recalled more than 55,000 pounds of frozen blueberries from four U.S. states and Canada.

Products bear Willamette Valley Fruit Company name in 30-pound cases or 1,400-pound totes.

Affected lot codes: cases 2055 B2 (exp. 7/23/2027), 2065 B1 and B3 (7/24/2027); totes 3305 A1 and B1 (11/25/2027).

Recall began February 12 and earned Class I status February 24.

“Listeria monocytogenes (L. monocytogenes) is a type of disease-causing bacteria that can be found in many places,” the FDA says.

People who eat contaminated food “may develop a disease called listeriosis.”

A Class I recall means “a situation in which there is a reasonable probability that the use of, or exposure to, a violative product will cause serious adverse health consequences or death.”
