  • A hilarious video caught the moment an intimidating cat forced a puppy into a time-out in the corner.
  • It would seem that the energetic puppy had annoyed the cat, and the cat wouldn’t have it.
  • Diesel the Maine Coon stood guard and cornered Axel the Cane Corso puppy, who looked defeated.

Cat and dog relationships can be quite unpredictable. They’ve always been depicted as arch enemies, but some get along pretty well. Still, most cats prefer their personal space, so when an energetic dog gets in the way, the kitties get annoyed. And they’re not afraid to show it!

One cat did just that when a puppy tested his patience.

In the footage shared on TikTok by their owners, a Maine Coon cat can be seen cornering a Cane Corso puppy to enforce a time-out.

Diesel the cat corners Axel the puppy in a clear show of dominance.

In the clip, we can see Axel looking toward his owners, as if he was begging for help.

But then, someone can be heard telling Axel, “I told you to leave him alone,” to which the puppy hangs his head sadly as he accepts his fate.

The video has since been viewed over 2.4 million times.

Viewers can’t help but point out how the cat is “establishing dominance” early on. One viewer wrote, “That Cane Corso will grow up and remember who is boss. That cat is very smart.”

“Maine Coon vs, Cane Corso, sounds like a pay-per-view fight ????. In the corner, we have the defender facing off the champion for the undisputed belt,” one comment read.

The pair’s owner replied, “I cannot tell you how many times I’ve gone looking for Axel and Diesel has had him cornered up ????.”

It seems like this happens a lot!

If anyone’s wondering if Axel is still trapped in the corner, his owner said that he’s been freed.

Poor Axel! If it’s any consolation, we bet he gets tons of love from his humans after his time-outs end.
