The incident occurred when the hiker unexpectedly broke through a snow bridge, plummeting 26 feet into the icy depths below.

The helicopter rescue team involved praised the small dog for leading them to the exact location of the mishap.

The hiker, fortunately equipped with an amateur walkie-talkie, managed to call for help.

However, pinpointing his location proved challenging, as the vast glacier surface made the hole nearly invisible.
