More and more people believe that 2020 is doomed. But for others who still find goodness in everyday life, this year is not bad after all.

TODAY co-anchor Hoda Kotb talked about how a stranger’s kindness made her day. And she celebrated the Good Samaritan’s act by honoring this person.

According to Hoda, she lost her phone on Wednesday after going to a New York City park with her kids, 3-year-old Haley, and one-year-old Hope. Hoda has already gotten home when she realized that she must have dropped it in the park.

Hoda posted the experience on Instagram: “My friend dialed my number hoping someone would see the phone and pick it up– and STAN LEVINE answered,” she wrote on Instagram. “He said ‘I found your phone in the park..I will wait here with it until you come back. You will recognize me because I am the guy with the walker.’ Thank you Stan! Good people all around❤️”

The host also posted a video of herself thanking Stan for his kindness.

“Yeah, I just found it on the side of the road,” Stan said. “You must’ve been walking up this road.”

“I think I was,” Hoda said. “I love Stan Levine, thank you Stan!”

Stan’s good deed made everyone feel good inside.

“This is what goodness looks like,” Hoda said Thursday on TODAY with Hoda & Jenna. “Isn’t he such a sweetheart? You know that phone was gone.”

Hoda’s colleagues also felt a good vibe.

“MORNING BOOST!” Anchor Savannah Guthrie commented on Instagram, referring to Hoda’s feel-good segment on the TODAY show.

E! News host Jason Kennedy wrote: “Stan the man!”

Stan’s the man indeed!

We all know how Hoda uplifts people’s spirit. And that’s what her new book of inspirational words of wisdom — “This Just Speaks to Me: Words to Live By Every Day” — is all about.

“What I hope that you’ll find is just how hopeful we are time and time again, and that we each have each other’s back, so we will see the other side of this by getting through it together,” Hoda said.
