An engaging incident involving Titan, a Great Dane puppy, and a small bird has recently seized the internet’s attention. This lively event, shared on TikTok, has caused Titan’s owners to wonder about his potential guardian capabilities.

In the shared video, which hails from @titan.thegreatdane, Titan engages in a friendly dispute with a feisty baby turkey who stands its ground impressively well.

“Every time the bird approached Titan, the puppy jumped back in fright, while always keeping the bird within his view.”

The video has been the highlight since its debut on TikTok. Within only a few days, the clip has been viewed over 281,300 times and has earned more than 18,500 likes.

“I don’t think our Great Dane would ever protect us from an intruder,” the text overlaying the video quips. The gentle showdown between Titan and the baby bird certainly shattered many expectations.

Standing up to 32 inches tall, Great Danes have an imposing and almost regal presence, leading to their status as excellent home guardians.

However, beneath the commanding physique beats a gentle heart. These large dogs are famously tender, exceptionally patient, and particularly good with children.

“The American Kennel Club points out that it’s critical to expose puppies to a range of people, places, and situations for early socialization.”

Titan has plenty of growing to do before he reaches his full potential. It’s possible that he’ll become more confident, even assertive, around the small bird as he ages and grows. But for now, he is surprisingly reticent and slightly puzzled by the creature.
