Starting in January with Annabelle Stephens’ touching gesture to help 71-year-old Kerry Judd. Stephens posted a video of Judd’s struggle to deliver a DoorDash order. February’s story on Taylor McCormack being gifted with a teddy bear that had a voice recording of her best friend Rodney who passed away in 2020 brought us to tears. What made it more special was that it was Rodney’s sister Maddie who recorded the voice from a video and shared it with her.

May witnessed a reunion between a mother and daughter. They have been separated for 53 years. From Korea, Sarah Kleinhans and her half-brother were adopted by a family in New Hampshire. They only had a locket of their mom’s photo and their baby pictures inside. And for 15 years, she has been looking for them.  Fortunately, her half-sister Linda found her through 23andMe and then communicated on Facebook.

When they met, Sarah showed her mom the locket and told her she understood why they had to be adopted out. The reunited family now hopes to make new memories together.

The world also witnessed in November, Mahale the chimpanzee’s reunion with her newborn after an emergency C-section delivery at Sedgwick County Zoo in Kansas. The baby got distressed as Mahale’s natural labor stopped and prompted veterinarians to decide on the C-section. The baby had to be treated before the two saw each other again. And when the baby reached out his tiny arm to his mom, the world cried tears of joy.

In December, two young sisters’ faithful buddy, Artemis the Golden Retriever, never left their side when they got lost in the woods. Artemis even led the Police and volunteers to their location by barking when he heard them.
