  • The golden retrievers, perplexed by the chair barrier, provide a delightful distraction with their attempts to navigate it.

Noah Chappie Elias, a dog owner, has become an internet sensation after revealing his comical strategy to keep his playful golden retrievers from interfering with his cleaning routine. Maintaining a pristine home isn’t a walk in the park for Elias, as his energetic dogs always have a different agenda whenever he tries to tidy up. To ensure he can complete his chores, he’s had to come up with a rather clever method to keep his dogs at bay.

Elias posted a video on TikTok (@noahchappieelias) on January 2, showing how he used chairs to block the kitchen doorway and keep his golden retrievers out. The amusing video has already garnered more than 5.8 million views and over 732,000 likes at the time of writing.

While some dogs might have been able to decipher the chair puzzle, Elias’s golden retrievers were utterly baffled by it. One of the dogs tried to squeeze through the chairs, while the other danced around in the background, providing a delightful distraction. Luckily for Elias, this kept them occupied long enough for him to finish his cleaning without any disruptions.

Golden retrievers are known for their affectionate nature and love to spend time with their owners. This can sometimes lead to them meddling in almost everything, from work calls to relaxing baths. The American Kennel Club (AKC) suggests that owners should train and socialize their dogs from an early age to prevent any bad habits from forming.

Golden retrievers require a lot of mental stimulation and need plenty of daily exercise. This can be achieved through walking, playing fetch, field trials, tracking, and agility training.

Since posting the video with the caption “Time to mop,” social media users have become enamored with Elias’s lively golden duo. The TikToker has even shared additional videos of his dancing dog due to the overwhelming love for the dog’s joyful moves.

Among the TikTok comments, one user wrote, “Not the smartest, but my goodness the love.” Another joked, “Only one brain cell to share and neither one had it.” The dancing golden also received praise, with one comment reading, “Those are some world-class tippy taps.”

Newsweek reached out to @noahchappieelias via TikTok and Instagram for comment but could not verify the details of the case.
