According to family, “He was with his family and surrounded by love” when he passed.

The heavy metal icon battled several health issues in recent years, including Parkinson’s disease, which he publicly announced in 2020.

Despite increasing challenges that affected his movement and speech, his distinctive voice remained unchanged, bringing comfort to fans worldwide.

Ozzy faced many obstacles, including a serious ATV accident in 2003, surgeries, blood clots, and ongoing battles with addiction.

His family and fans admired his resilience and joyful spirit throughout every struggle.

Just weeks before his passing, Ozzy shared a special reunion and final show with his original Black Sabbath bandmates Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward in July 2025.

His wife, Sharon Osbourne, told the BBC this performance was his “goodbye to the band and to his fans.”

Ozzy’s death certificate listed cardiac arrest, coronary artery disease, acute myocardial infarction, and Parkinson’s disease with autonomic dysfunction.
