The search for Savannah Guthrie’s mother continues with fresh information and hope. Investigators have released a detailed description of the person seen on surveillance video and images of a distinctive backpack, which is hoped to focus public tips.

Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos shared that several gloves were recovered during the search, and these are being analyzed as part of the investigation.

“We don’t even know the true value of these gloves,” he said.

Sheriff Nanos also clarified that his department and the FBI are working closely together, and all evidence is being shared and tested at trusted labs.

“There’s no fight — sheriff didn’t block anything. This has always been a case where we both work very close together,” he stated.

As part of their efforts, the FBI has increased the reward to $100,000 for information that leads to finding Nancy Guthrie or identifying anyone involved in the case.

Police have asked local residents to check doorbell and home surveillance camera footage for anything unusual recorded between January 1 and February 2. Alerts have been sent out to neighbors to encourage sharing helpful video evidence.

Neighbor David Romano described the community’s cooperation, saying investigators have visited and asked for information about vehicles and household members.

“Detectives have come twice and asked us for our names and who we are and so on and what kind of cars we drive, and if we have a truck,” Romano said.

The investigation has received thousands of tips, and officers remain dedicated to bringing answers and hope to the Guthrie family. Community support continues to be a powerful part of the ongoing search.

If you have any information, authorities urge you to share it and help bring this case to a positive resolution.
