It turns out that the medical staff had been leaving bowls of food and water for the orange tabby stray. The mama cat may have thought that the kind people would surely help her!

The staff had no idea that the stray had recently given birth to a litter of kittens, until she brought them all into the hospital.

The mama cat brought her kittens one by one to the hospital. Staff made sure to keep the cats fed and warm while they consulted with a veterinarian.

A nurse administered eye drops to each kitten.

Apparently, another mama cat had previously asked for help at the very same hospital about a year before this incident.

The hospital staff earned the trust of the stray animals in the area by showing compassion, and they were touched that the cats knew to look to them for assistance.
