When a flooded street outside Jamieson Elementary School created a tricky situation, crossing guard Joe Sass made sure every child could reach school safely and happily.
He carried students over icy water, ensuring their shoes and spirits stayed dry on a cold Chicago morning.
“It’s not in the job description,” Sass shared, “but I’ll do just about anything for these kids.”
