Cat mom creates drinking pond for her fancy cats [Video]

Phoebe and Sox are two cats who take pride in their fancy tastes. When it comes to drinking water, they prefer fancy water sources such as fountains and other decorative bowls. So when they grew bored of their cat fountain, their mom decided to build them something extra special.

Their mom noticed that they loved to drink from “a bowl with moss balls” and that Phoebe, in particular, also drank from an aquarium. It made her wonder if they would also like drinking water with plants.

So she threw together a bunch of her aquarium stuff and created a fancy drinking pond.

She took about a day to put everything together, and slowly added things through the week to make it perfect.

She said that it was just a simple project made of a storage bin and an aquarium filter. All the other stuff are just decorations, like rocks and plants.

Everything in the pond was cat-safe, including the plants.

She added some flowers, cat grass, moss, chia, cat-safe orchids, rosemary, and a spider plant.

“This isn’t really a new idea — people keep fish in tank setups like this — I just gave it a new purpose,” she added. “The goal is a healthy ecosystem that enriches my cats.”

She was happy to see that her cats instantly loved it.

“It’s like they knew it was for them. They’ve been drinking exclusively from there since I’ve set it up,” she shared. “Sox literally slurps from there. I even got a robot fish that Phoebe likes to play with.”

Phoebe and Sox have had their fancy tastes satisfied!

Thanks to their mom, they now have the fanciest water source.

They can never go back now to ordinary drinking bowls!
