Darby, a diabetic alert dog, knows when she needs to give her mom some juice to help her increase her blood sugar levels. She’s always pleased with herself for doing a great job at helping her mom. But one day, she decided to “get some extra credit.”

Her mom, Abby Karnes, already had a juice bottle with her, but Darby went and got her another one. Abby thanked her but told her that she didn’t need any more, but Darby decided to go back to the kitchen to fetch another one!

Darby may have been too worried for her mom and thought that having more is better. But Abby suspects that the sweet pup was being too sweet for other motives.

Abby commented on the video, “She wanted to see if she could get more treats by giving me more juices.”

Abby only needed one juice bottle, but Darby kept fetching more and more juice until her mom had five bottles!

Darby did seem genuinely worried about her mom, however, and the juice was the only solution she knew. So Abby kept thanking her and reassuring her that she has all the juice that she needs.

After getting a treat, Darby was still about to head back to the kitchen when Abby stopped her and gave her some reassuring pets. So the thoughtful pup just stayed by her mom’s side to keep watch over her.

Darby is a very good dog, whether she has ulterior motives or not, and she loves her mom very much.
