Dog in Day Care Insists on Petting All The Other Dogs At the Doggy Daycare [Video]

Ruby and Miles, both dogs, are regulars at the Den Doggy Daycare in Burlington, Ontario. There, every time Ruby finds herself around other dogs she puts it upon herself to make friends, but the way she interacts with them is rather different.

Lexy goes to the same daycare Ruby and her brother go. Her owner, Alanah Lorraine, noticed that her dog is getting pets from Ruby.

“She does it every time she is in,” Alanah said. “We think she wants attention!”

Every time the dog is brought into the daycare, she puts her paws on other dogs she comes across with. The other dogs often seem confused after Ruby pets them, but they put up with these gestures nonetheless, thinking that maybe this is probably just how Ruby says her hellos.

“Most dogs aren’t bothered by it and just let it happen,” Alanah said.

The gesture is incredible, Alanah decided to tape how Ruby pets other dogs inside the daycare, compiled them and posted it on TikTok that had thousands amused.

“I thought it would be adorable,” Alanah said, “but I never imagined it would go viral.”

The pawing gesture directed at other dogs in dog language means submission or an invitation to play. This does not appear to be the case for Ruby, she shows interest in scratching heads or backs of other dogs she could lay her paw on.

The best part of it now is that the dog receives head scratches from people who know how much of a good girl she is, especially now that she pets other dogs too!
