A heroic act of bravery took place in Kazakhstan when a man named Sabit Shontakbaev saved a three-year-old girl from falling from an eighth-floor window. The toddler had climbed onto the ledge using cushions while she was home alone.
Luckily, Sabit was on his way to work and noticed the commotion. Without hesitation, he rushed into the building, knocked on the door of the apartment below the girl’s, and made his way to the window. “At that moment I didn’t think about anything, I just wanted to help the child,” Sabit said.
His courageous actions were not in vain, as the little girl was saved and Sabit was hailed as a hero. He was even awarded a three-bedroom apartment for his actions, which means his family can now join him in the city.
