An unusual friendship formed in Ohio when a police therapy dog took a trip to the zoo.

The Delaware County Sheriff’s Office said therapy K9 Otto has a new friend — a polar bear named Lee.

“It looks like Therapy K9 Otto has a new friend,” the sheriff’s office wrote on Facebook.

Otto and his handler, Deputy Cox, visited the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium last month to meet with a student enrolled in the career technical education zoo program.

The student Deputy Cox for her senior capstone project, the sheriff’s office said.

But the group got more than they bargained for when Lee, the polar bear, seemed to take a liking to Otto.

Hopefully the student gets some extra credit for the incredible photos!
