As a professional wrestler, John Cena has toppled over a lot of bodies in the ring.  He is a WWE icon.  But there’s one body count that he holds dearest to his heart: the wishes of children he has fulfilled.  And now, he got a Guinness World Record for Make-A-Wish Foundation for granting 650 wishes!

The Make-A-Wish Foundation fulfills the wishes of children from ages 2-18 who are critically ill.

Cena first granted a wish for a fan to see him through the foundation in 2002. And 20 years later, he has proven to be the most requested celebrity. No other celebrity has granted more than 200 wishes in the 42 years of the foundation’s existence, but he.

Cena said, “I want them to have an experience that will stay with them to forever.” He added, “I don’t ever want the children or their families to be treated in a way where they feel as if they’re up against anything at all.”

The actor enjoys doing what he does and drops everything just to grant a wish.  He wants the child to have a fantastic experience and is flattered when a child wishes to see him.

He said, “Make-A-Wish’s list is enormous and they literally will do anything you want. ‘I want to kick it with John Cena and see him wrestle.’ That is the coolest thing I have ever heard in my life.”

To him, it means a lot of things: “It means one, something I am passionate about affects people. It means two, I can be a vehicle to help make a wish come true. And it means three, when we engage, when the wish actually happens, it is something that someone wants and we are the finish line.”
