  • Instead of running to the home base, this 3-year-old boy somersaulted his way and made it on time!
  • In spite of the prodding from everyone for him to run, Jasper insisted on doing his thing and ended up a winner.
  • Jasper’s mom Rebeka believes that Jasper’s purpose is to make people smile.

Being a creative 3-year-old sure does make Jasper of Westlake, LA, a source of happiness and wonder.

Jasper can name all the states and planets but it is baseball that he still has to learn how to do based on the game’s rules.  But there are many ways to achieve a goal and Jasper’s way of doing the home run is unique.

𝗥𝗢𝗟𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗛𝗢𝗠𝗘 3-year-old Jasper put on quite the show during his T-ball game last week. Every run counted for the Moss Bluff Reds as they hoped to advance to the championship. Fortunately, not only did Jasper score – but he did it in style! Jasper will be talking to our Andrea Robinson KPLC tomorrow so don’t miss the story on KPLC 7 News!

In one very important game for his team the Moss Bluff Reds, Jasper successfully hit the ball and must now run to home plate.  But instead of running or walking, Jasper somersaulted while his mom frantically screamed and pleaded, “Run, Jasper!”

But the kid happily somersaulted from third base to the home base, showing off how good he is at the move.  Everyone was now on the edge and cheering him to do it fast before time runs out. But make it, he did!

The kid was having fun which is the main goal of any game— have some fun while achieving a goal or winning.

Even if Jasper may still not know this, he has taken Ralph Waldo Emerson’s words to heart: “it’s not the destination, it’s the journey.”

Jasper’s mom Rebeka said, “I feel like some of his purpose that God has given him is to make people smile… we just also want to share Christ’s love with that. We want to give all the glory back to him because he’s the one that made Jasper just the way that he is and we wouldn’t change anything about him.”
