Beloved Dog Gets Surprise Birthday Party [Video]

• Fred was about to celebrate his first birthday, so his loved ones made sure to prepare a very special celebration.
• They set it up while he was out on a walk, and yelled out “Surprise!” as he went back in.
• Fred was delighted — he was so happy that he kept jumping and running around!

Fred the golden retriever was about to celebrate his first birthday. So his family planned a special celebration and wanted it to be a surprise.

Fred’s family and friends waited for the perfect opportunity to set up for the party: when he was out playing one night.

As they waited for their beloved dog to return, they turned off the lights and crouched down. They then instantly turned on the lights, leapt up, and yelled “Surprise!” as he walked into the room!

Fred was so excited that he kept jumping and running around!

One of his family members joked at him, saying, “He had no idea! Gotcha!”

Judging from the big smile on Fred’s face, all the preparations for the party were worth it. Fred loved every bit of it!

It definitely was his day — he was the main star!

As he sat on his birthday throne, his mom gave him a hug. His family then sang him a happy birthday while handing him his very own pup cake. He loved that treat, too!

All the golden birthday signs and balloons made for a great backdrop for the many pictures his family had to take to commemorate his very first year.

Throwing a surprise birthday party for Fred was definitely worth it!

They just wanted to show Fred how much they love him, and the special celebration made sure of that. There’s no mistaking that Fred already knows just how beloved he is.
