  • Zippy the senior toy poodle loves waiting by the door whenever his dad is about to return home from work.
  • He refuses to move from the spot until his dad comes home!
  • It turns out that the sweet pooch also does this for his mom.

If there’s anything that dog parents look forward to when finishing work, it’s coming home to be greeted by their beloved fur babies.

Dogs may get to spend time with us every day, but they would still miss us if we were gone for just a moment!

Take Zippy for example. The sweet senior toy poodle always waits by the front door to welcome his dad when he gets home from work. His mom said that he refuses to move from the spot until his dad gets back!

Zippy has all the company he needs at home with his mom and his fur sibling, Powder the Samoyed. But he still loves waiting for his dad to return.

You can even see the precious look he gives his mom. He may be senior, but he can still give you some adorable puppy dog eyes! He looks so cute as his head bobs to look at his mom and swings back to the door whenever he thinks he hears something.

Viewers can relate well. Several shared similar stories about their own fur babies.

TikTok user @rachmariestudio wrote, “Ohhh my little Millie does the same thing waiting for my hubs 🥺.” We soon found out that Zippy also does this for his mom. She wrote, “he also does this when he knows I’m about to get home from work 🥺.”

Dogs truly have limitless love for us. It’s so touching!

Zippy’s dad, @jellodang, shared that while the tiny pooch loves waiting for him, he’s not a fan of cuddling with him. In that case, Zippy seems to be more like a cat — he only wants attention when he’s the one demanding it!

We can’t really blame them when they’re this cute.
