Quick Smiles:

  • A notorious black bear, affectionately named “Hank the Tank,” has been safely captured after a series of home invasions in South Lake Tahoe, California.
  • A 6-month-old puppy named Bear, destined to become a seizure service dog, had a daring adventure swimming across the Hudson River in Manhattan.
  • A resident bear at the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center unintentionally became a vlogger after finding and playing with a GoPro camera.

Meet “Hank the Tank,” a massive black bear who’s been causing quite a stir in South Lake Tahoe, California. Hank, whose gender was initially unknown, has been linked to over twenty home invasions since 2022. But fear not, Hank’s reign of mischief has come to an end as she’s been safely captured.

In another paw-some tale, a 6-month-old puppy named Bear decided to take himself on an unexpected adventure. Ellen Wolpin, a resident of the bustling city of Manhattan, had just brought Bear home. Little did she know, this pup was about to make a splash, quite literally!

Bear, who is being trained to become a seizure service dog, somehow managed to break loose and swam across the Hudson River. Talk about a daring doggy paddle! Thankfully, Bear lived to wag his tail about his big city escapade.

Last but not least, it seems like even our furry friends are jumping on the content creation bandwagon. While testing out bear-proof products at the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center, one resident bear stumbled upon a GoPro camera. And what did this curious creature do? Start filming, of course!

Mashable reports that, incredibly, the camera survived the bear’s playful antics. So, next time you’re scrolling through YouTube, keep an eye out for this bear’s accidental vlog. Who knows, maybe we’ve got a budding influencer in the animal kingdom!
